FHF Spring Break Camp - Our Spring Break Horsemanship Camp this year is April 5 -9 from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm. Beginner and Advanced Class. Some of you have requested a day rate because you are going away for part of the spring break week. We are going to make an exception this year for our Spring Break Camp. You can choose your days for $70.00 per day. All registration and fees need to be in by Thursday, April 1.
Paige Rassas Clinic - April 10 and 11 at Irish Oaks Farm near Clemmons, NC. Cost is $90.00 per day. Paige is an excellent clinician. Registration by Thursday, April 1. We need to know ASAP if you are interested!
Congratulations to Kylee Buchholz, the new owner of "Rollingwoods Sticky Buns" a 13.1h.beautiful grey registered Welsh Pony Mare. Congratulations also goes to Elle Oldre she will be leasing "Mulberry Street" a 13.2h, light grey registered Half Welsh Pony gelding. We see bright things in their future!
Harmon Classic Horse Show - Our FHF Show Team, eight horses and eleven riders competed at Latta Equestrian Center in Huntersville last weekend. The turnout for the show was very good with over 200 horses competing. There were 24 ponies in the Pony Hunter Division and Gracie Burud and "Sweet Tea" aka "Miles" beat all of them by winning the PHJA Medal Class and got a second in the NCHJA Medal Class and won Pony Hunter Reserve Champion on Sunday and was 11 & Under Equitation Champion both days! Beating many of the top riders and ponies in the state. Caroline Fuller and "Fox Havens First Kiss" aka "Kizzy" were Short Stirrup Equitation Champion on Saturday and Madison Brown and "Champagne Wishes" aka "Secret" were Short Stirrup Hunter Champion on Sunday. Kylee Buchholzl and "Champagne Wishes" won their under saddle class on Saturday. Caroline Currier and "Captain Jack Sparrow" won the Pre Children Equitation on the Flat Class. We decided at the last minute on Sunday to let Mark Sheridan show "Southern Gentleman" aka "Murry" in the Pre Children equitation Division, even though Mark had never jumped Murry before, and Mark won his Equitation Flat Class and was Pre Children Equitation Reserve Champion! Jennifer Hart and "Southern Gentleman", Erin Lyons and "Take A Chance" aka "Jamie", Hollins Worsley and "All Brushed Up" aka "Scout", Hannah Wilhite and "Snickers" all won good ribbons. Good Job Team!!!
FHF Horse Show I Results - We had our first FHF Horse Show on Sunday, March 14 after getting rained out on the day before. Our Judge was the delightful Rita Overton from Clemmons, NC. Everyone rode like Rock Stars which was a little surprising after the winter that we had. Here are the show results:
